It may have been the worst-kept secret in world football, but Thursday Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed rampant speculation that he would be joining former coach Jose Mourinho at Manchester United for the upcoming Premier League season.
Ibrahimovic made the announcement via Twitter, putting to rest doubts about his future which he seemed to enjoy playing along with throughout the summer.
The blockbuster move shows Mourinho's intentions to build an immediate winner at Old Trafford as the prolific goalscorer is 34 years old, although age has not dulled his goal scoring prowess as of late.
Zlatan is coming off an extremely successful spell in Ligue 1 where he led PSG to four league titles as he scored 156 goals in 180 appearances, although the club did not win a Champions League trophy leaving both the player and club management frustrated.
