Tragedy in Mexico
Mexico City, July 1 (EFE).- Three people have died from asphyxiation during the celebrations in the Mexican capital for Mexico's victory over Ecuador in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, reported the Health Sector Command Post of the Government of Mexico City this Wednesday.
The deceased are two women, aged 48 and 19, and a 44-year-old man.
"From the Government of Mexico City, we are in contact with their families to provide them with all the necessary support and assistance," stated the head of the Mexico City government, Clara Brugada, on social media.
