A Possible Date to Determine the Final of the FIFA World Cup 2030 Organized by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco
Spain, Morocco, and Portugal already know they will host the tournament, but the venue for the decisive match remains shrouded in suspense.
The 2030 World Cup already has confirmed host countries, as Spain, Morocco, and Portugal will jointly organize the tournament. However, there is still a significant detail to resolve, where the final will be played. And the answer doesn't seem to be coming soon. According to Mundo Deportivo, the decision on the final venue will not be known until 2028.
Spain does not yield
Rafael Louzán, president of the RFEF, remains confident that the final will be held in Spain. The two Spanish options to host the decisive match are the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid and the Camp Nou in Barcelona.
Morocco is not falling behind
But Spain is not the only country dreaming of hosting the final. Morocco also aspires to host it in the future at the Hassan II Stadium in Casablanca. Considering what happened with the 2026 World Cup, the venue for the final in New Jersey was not confirmed until February 2024, so several options could still be possible.
Meanwhile, the new visit of a FIFA delegation to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco is still pending. That visit will be important because it could help define the final venues for the 2030 World Cup.
