Galatasaray secured an incredible 2 - 1 victory against Gaziantep, who, despite putting on a brilliant performance, couldn't compete against one of the Süper Lig leaders.
In the first half of the match between Galatasaray and Gaziantep, there were impressive plays and mistakes from "The Lions", who constantly pressured the opposing area. However, things became even more frustrating for Galatasaray when a miraculous header from Arda Kızıldağ put them at a disadvantage in the 29th minute, despite their attempts to take the lead in the first half.
The second half of the match followed the same dynamic as the first, with Galatasaray creating clear opportunities that didn't materialize into goals. On the other hand, Gaziantep, aware of the importance of winning against one of the league leaders, adopted a defensive strategy and retreated to their own half. However, a brilliant combination between Zaha, Mertens, and Icardi allowed the Ivorian to equalize the score with a powerful right-footed shot in the 71st minute. Later on, an impressive left-footed shot from Alper Yilmas gave Galatasaray the lead, plunging Gaziantep into disappointment.
With this result, "The Lions" are level on points with Fenerbahce and sit in the first position with 60 points, while Gaziantep remains at the bottom of the table and faces a difficult battle to stay in the category, with only 23 points.
