When Does the Süper Lig Return? Galatasaray Will Open a Must-Watch Matchweek

  • The wait is almost over for Turkish soccer fans. The Süper Lig is preparing to return after the international break, with Matchweek 7 set to feature several of Turkey’s biggest clubs back in action.

The Süper Lig Prepares to Return After an International Break

Turkish soccer is about to return. The 2026-27 Süper Lig entered a brief pause after the first six matchweeks, just as the battle near the top of the table was beginning to take shape and several of the league’s biggest clubs were looking to establish themselves.

The break was due to the international schedule, which temporarily halted club competition. Now, with that window coming to an end, the league is preparing to return with a new matchweek that could once again shake up the standings.

When Does the Süper Lig Return? Matchweek 7 Has a Date

The Süper Lig will return on Friday, October 9, 2026, with the start of Matchweek 7. The first game of the return will be Galatasaray vs. Kasımpaşa, scheduled at RAMS Park.

Galatasaray will enter the match with 13 points after six games, while Kasımpaşa has 10 points. The Istanbul side will be looking to bounce back after its unexpected 4-0 defeat to Trabzonspor, a result that tightened the race near the top of the table once again.

Galatasaray Opens a Matchweek Featuring Several Giants

The return will have Galatasaray as the first major attraction, but attention will quickly shift to other big names. On Saturday, Fenerbahçe will face Çaykur Rizespor and Trabzonspor will take on Samsunspor, while Beşiktaş will return on Sunday to host Kocaelispor.

Fenerbahçe enters the matchweek with one of the most productive attacks in the league, having scored 16 goals in its first six games. Trabzonspor, meanwhile, returns with the momentum of its 4-0 win over Galatasaray, powered by a hat-trick from Mohamed Salah, while Beşiktaş will look to regain ground after its defeat to Amedspor. The top of the table remains tightly packed, and a single matchweek could significantly alter the picture.

The Süper Lig Return on beIN SPORTS

After the international break, fans will once again have Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor on their screens, along with other stars who have increased interest in the Turkish league. With that, the return also means that the Süper Lig is back on beIN SPORTS.
