The Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and Real Madrid have extended their agreement for another season, the club announced.

Additionally, Modrić won the Ballon d'Or in 2018, the FIFA The Best Award for Best Player, and was named UEFA Player of the Year. With the Croatian national team, for whom he has played 178 matches (most recently in the recent Euro 2024 in Germany), he won the Golden Ball at the 2018 World Cup and the Bronze Ball at the 2022 World Cup.
