Case of Possible Insult by Bellingham to Greenwood in Getafe-Real Madrid Archived
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has dismissed the case of the alleged insult by Real Madrid's English player Jude Bellingham to his compatriot Mason Greenwood in the match against Getafe, in which the former was accused of calling the latter a "rapist" according to the Getafe club.
The decision to close the case was made by the disciplinary committee of the RFEF due to the inability to confirm whether the insult occurred, as conveyed by Getafe to LaLiga and subsequently to the RFEF, confirmed sources from this organization.
At the end of the match of the twentieth round of LaLiga, which was played on February 1 after being postponed due to the Supercopa, Getafe lodged a complaint with LaLiga's match director about this incident, in which allegedly the English player Jude Bellingham called his compatriot Mason Greenwood a "rapist" in English.
Following the club's complaint, LaLiga followed the usual procedure and requested a lip-reading expert report to investigate the incident, which was later sent to the federative disciplinary committee, competent to decide on the matter.
