Boca Juniors Kicks off the Libertadores With a Win in Chile Against Universidad Católica
Boca Juniors began their Copa Libertadores campaign with an important 2-1 win over Universidad Católica in Chile.
The Argentine side took the lead thanks to a powerful long-range strike from Leandro Paredes in a tightly contested first half. In the second half, Boca extended their advantage after a well-worked team move finished by Adam Bareiro.
Universidad Católica pulled one back late in the game, adding tension to the closing minutes, but Boca held on to take three valuable points in Group D.
