Carlos Alcaraz Breaks a New Record After His Victory at the Australian Open
The Spaniard was crowned champion of the Australian Open and made history once again
Carlos Alcaraz is breaking records at 22 and looking to set a precedent
At 22, Carlos Alcaraz has won more Grand Slams than his recently defeated rival, Djokovic, as well as the legendary Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal, had at that age.
Both Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, tennis icons, only managed to win a Grand Slam when they were 22 years old, the same age Carlos Alcaraz is today. Meanwhile, the young Spaniard has surpassed Rafa Nadal with his recent victory at the Australian Open, amassing seven Grand Slams at his young age, one more than Nadal had at the same point.
How is the title ranking coming along?
In terms of overall titles won, the young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz has 24 titles, while Rafa Nadal has 22 (5 Grand Slams and 9 Masters 1000). Roger Federer won only 5 titles, one of which was a Masters 1000, and Novak Djokovic won 10 titles (only one Grand Slam).
The 22-year-old from Murcia has already amassed seven major titles, two Wimbledons, two Roland Garros, two US Opens, and now his first Australian Open, surpassing Italy’s Jannik Sinner (four), Switzerland’s Stanislas Wawrinka (three), and Russia’s Daniil Medvedev and Croatia’s Marin Cilic (one each).

Those with the most titles in history
Novak Djokovic, with twenty-four, has the most in history. Two more than the already retired Rafa Nadal and four more than the Swiss Roger Federer.
Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz became the second active player with the most Grand Slam titles, behind only Djokovic.
