The Real Madrid Right-Back Got Injured Again and Joins the Long List of Injured Players Within the Merengue Club
The Real Madrid right-back got injured again and joins the long list of injured players within the Merengue club
Real Madrid in Crisis
Real Madrid's injury crisis is becoming more complicated, and Álvaro Arbeloa has lost another player who will be unavailable for at least a week: Ferland Mendy, the French fullback who injured his right hamstring and who had played a key role in the Spaniard's team.
Mendy’s Injury
Mendy appears to have sustained an injury during the grueling match against Manchester City, which the Los Merengues won 3-0. However, the player was unable to play for more than 45 minutes after suffering a “cramp,” or so Real Madrid initially determined. It was later revealed that the discomfort was actually a muscle injury, which puts his participation in future matches at risk
The Real Madrid injury list
He is not the only injured player on Arbeloa's team; Real Madrid is going through a difficult period in terms of the physical condition of its players. This long list of injured players begins with Rodrygo's torn ligament and meniscus, Mbappé's knee sprain, and the prolonged absences of Alaba, Militao, and Bellingham. Other players affected include Ceballos, Asensio, and Carreras. Now, Ferland Mendy has joined the list. With all these players injured or out of action, Álvaro Arbeloa is facing a challenging situation, especially with the return leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 approaching.
