PSG Thrash Le Havre to Maintain Ligue 1 Lead
PSG responded with authority, defeating Le Havre 3–0 to retain the Ligue 1 lead and keep their two-point cushion at the top.
In a performance that was more effective than dazzling, Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3–0 victory over Le Havre, a result that allowed them to stay atop Ligue 1 and answer the pressure from Marseille and Lens, who had both won earlier in the day. With goals from Kang-In Lee, João Neves and Bradley Barcola, the Parisian side accomplished its mission while waiting to recover key players and rediscover its best form.
A Comfortable Win, but Not Without Alarming Moments
Although the scoreline was wide, PSG’s performance was far from dominant from start to finish. The win came more from efficiency than fluid play, with stretches where an equalizer seemed possible — especially early in the second half. Still, the team’s ability to tilt matches at any moment thanks to individual talent and offensive volume proved decisive.
Le Havre, sitting 12th before visiting the Parc des Princes, did not shrink under the pressure. They accepted the early exchange of blows, recognizing that while PSG can create danger at any time, they also leave spaces to exploit on transitions. That approach worked for nearly half an hour, until Kang-In Lee broke the deadlock in the 29th minute after a cross from Nuno Mendes, who was returning from injury. The VAR checked the play but validated the goal by mere centimeters.

From that moment on, the match swung between PSG sealing the result and Le Havre finding an equalizer. The visitors pressed high, recovered possession and created moments of suspense for Gianluigi Donnarumma, but lacked the finishing touch.
Luis Enrique’s Adjustments Shifted the Momentum
With a fragile lead and the match trending dangerously, Luis Enrique turned to his bench. Bringing on Barcola for Kang-In Lee injected speed and directness, immediately altering the flow of the game. The 2–0 came in the 64th minute after a rebound that João Neves sent into the net — just moments after Nuno Mendes denied a clear chance for the visitors and Chevalier made a key save from a free kick.
Le Havre still came close with a strike off the post from Soumaré, but that proved to be their final scare. In the closing minutes, Barcola finished off a counterattack to put the 3–0 on the board and seal the night in Paris.
