Lewandowski Equals a FC Barcelona Legend
Robert Lewandowski ended his scoring drought by finding the net in FC Barcelona’s victory against Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano. The Polish striker broke a three-match goalless run in LaLiga and also reached a historic milestone within the club.
With this goal, Lewandowski reached 117 goals for FC Barcelona, equaling one of the club’s great legends, Hristo Stoichkov, who ranks 14th on the list of the club’s all-time top scorers. What stands out is how quickly the Polish player reached this figure: he did it in just 185 matches, while the Bulgarian — a Ballon d’Or winner — needed 255 games.
New Challenges on the Horizon
Lewandowski’s next target is already in sight: Josep Escolà, who has 120 goals. Surpassing him would place the striker in the club’s Top 10, a significant achievement considering how little time he has spent at the institution.
If he maintains his scoring pace, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to think he could reach even higher numbers. Names like Rivaldo and Samuel Eto’o, both with 130 goals, appear as the next challenges for the striker.

Lewandowski’s time at FC Barcelona has been very positive so far. However, his future at the club still raises questions, as he has not renewed his contract. If he extends his deal, he could climb even higher in the historic rankings and even aim for a spot among the club’s five all-time top scorers.
At 37 years old, Lewandowski continues to build his legacy. He is not only part of FC Barcelona’s history but also of Borussia Dortmund, where he holds a prominent place among their top scorers, and of the Poland national team, of which he is the all-time leading scorer with 89 goals.
Beyond the numbers, his consistency, professionalism, and ability to stay at the top level consolidate him as one of the greatest scorers of his generation. His legend continues to grow, and at FC Barcelona, he is already securing a place among the club’s most important names.
