Jude Bellingham Receives Suspension! Misses These Matches
The Competition Committee penalized the Real Madrid midfielder for his expulsion following the controversial end of the match against Valencia.
The Competition Committee sanctioned Jude Bellingham with a two-match suspension for his expulsion in the controversial end of the match between Valencia and Real Madrid at Mestalla.
This penalty was imposed on the midfielder of the white team by the Competition Committee for disrespectful or disdainful attitudes towards the referee of the match, Gil Manzano.
In that turbulent ending, Bellingham scored the goal that gave Real Madrid the victory just after the referee declared the end of the match. The Englishman couldn't believe it and addressed Gil Manzano in the following terms, as reflected by the referee himself in the report:
"After the end of the match and still on the field, he approached me running in an aggressive manner and shouting, repeatedly saying 'its a f***ing goal'".
Which matches will he miss?
At the moment, Real Madrid still has the option to appeal the sanction to the Appeals Committee. The aim is to reduce a punishment for which Bellingham will miss the matches against Celta (this Sunday at the Bernabéu) and against Osasuna (on March 16 in Pamplona).
