Michael Bradley Amongst New Players Called Up For USA Friendly With Brazil But Clint Dempsey Out
The Seattle Sounders forward made a strong return to the pitch this weekend with his club side, but will not join up with the USA to face Brazil.
Michael Bradley, Jordan Morris and Sean Johnson will all join up with the U.S. national team for the side's friendly with Brazil this week, while defender Matt Besler and goalkeeper William Yarbrough have both returned to their clubs.
Seattle Sounders star Clint Dempsey, who scored a goal and added an assist on his return to MLS from an injury layoff Saturday night, will not be joining up with the USA as was previously expected. Dempsey's goal proved to be the winner as his club took a 2-1 result against Bradley and Toronto FC.
The USA, coming off a win over Peru, will take on Brazil Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
