Joao Felix Shines in His Debut with Al-Nassr
The Portuguese forward made an immediate impact in his first appearance for the Saudi club in a friendly win over Toulouse.
A promising debut for the Portuguese star
Joao Felix had a strong start to his career with Al-Nassr on Wednesday, helping his new club to a 2-1 victory over Toulouse in a preseason friendly played in Grödig, Austria. The Portuguese attacker, officially unveiled just a day earlier, played 60 minutes, showing glimpses of his quality and making a positive first impression.
The Saudi side started off on the wrong foot, conceding in the 25th minute after Yann Gboho capitalized on a mistake while building from the back. But just eight minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo leveled the score with a goal assisted by Brazilian teammate Wesley.
Jorge Jesus makes his debut as head coach
This match also marked the first game in charge for Jorge Jesus, the new Al-Nassr manager who previously coached rivals Al-Hilal and Brazilian giants Flamengo. The Portuguese coach used the friendly to evaluate his new squad and begin implementing his tactical vision ahead of the upcoming season.
The winning goal came in the 77th minute, when Mohammed Marran finished a play down the right wing with a clinical strike inside the box. By that point, both Joao Felix and Cristiano Ronaldo had been substituted. Despite the final result, the match was evenly contested, with Toulouse creating several dangerous chances late in the game.

With this performance, Joao Felix begins his chapter at Al-Nassr on a high note, as the Saudi club continues to build a star-studded roster aiming for regional and international success.
