Rabat Boasts the World’s Best Stadium of 2025
Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat has been named the best of 2025 and is set to shine at the 2030 World Cup.
Located in Rabat, the stadium has a capacity of nearly 69,000 spectators and already serves as a home venue for the national team, as well as hosting major events such as the Africa Cup of Nations final. It topped the final rankings ahead of strong contenders like the Grand Stade of Tangier and the Claro Arena in Santiago, Chile.
This achievement highlights the growing influence of Morocco in global sports infrastructure. Notably, five of the top ten stadiums in the 2025 ranking are located in the country, underlining its ambitious development strategy. Built between 2023 and September 2025, the stadium required an investment of over €300 million. It is part of a larger sports complex that includes an indoor arena, an athletics stadium, and an Olympic swimming pool, making it a multifunctional hub.
Designed by Populous, the venue stands out for the proximity of its stands to the pitch and its modern LED-lit façade. It also meets FIFA standards, positioning it as one of the venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, where it could even host a semifinal match.
