VIDEO | Mourinho Encounters Newcastle President at F1
The historic coach José Mourinho attended the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix of Formula 1, where, as usual, Max Verstappen secured the first position. The race, held in Saudi territory, was witnessed by various important personalities, including the governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and president of Newcastle, Yasir Al-Rumayya.
A notable moment occurred when Mourinho and Al-Rumayya were seen conversing, sparking rumors about a potential arrival of the Portuguese coach to the English club. The current Newcastle manager, Eddie Howe, currently has the team in the ninth position in the Premier League, a situation different from the previous season when they secured a fourth-place finish and qualified for the Champions League.
Given the substantial investments made by Newcastle, the current standing is not meeting expectations, and a change in the coaching staff is not ruled out. Mourinho, currently without a club since leaving AS Roma in January, could be a potential candidate if the English club decides to make a managerial change.
