Barcelona on Edge After Potential Injury to Lamine Yamal
Lamine Yamal raised concerns when he didn’t finish the latest Spanish national team training session at the Ciudad del Fútbol due to discomfort. However, after undergoing medical tests before the team’s trip to Belgrade, it was confirmed that he isn’t suffering from an injury, just a knock from his last match with Barcelona, which won’t prevent him from playing against Serbia in the Nations League.
Spain’s coach, Luis de la Fuente, reassured fans about Yamal’s condition. "He’s perfect. For us, the player’s health is always the top priority. He came with discomfort from a weekend knock, trained normally, but since he’s young and inexperienced with injuries, we wanted to make sure everything was fine," De la Fuente explained.
"He had some tests done, and everything came back clear. He’s fully ready to play tomorrow," confirmed De la Fuente, clarifying to avoid any misunderstandings with Barcelona that it’s "just a knock" with "no further issues."
Yamal made a name for himself before turning 17 during the Euros in Germany, where he shone for Spain. De la Fuente reminded him that the demands will keep increasing but believes the young player is ready to face the challenge.
"I’ve seen him calm. He’s very mature for his age, and he’s been able to process and handle everything that’s happened. With us, he behaves more maturely than his years," said De la Fuente.
"We encourage him to stay patient and aware that the demands will keep growing. He knows the spotlight is on him, and he’ll have to get used to it while continuing to develop. He’s ready for it and will grow naturally under this pressure," the coach concluded.
