How Namibia arrive

Namibia begin their qualifying campaign under head coach Collin Benjamin, who has built his squad around a combination of experienced internationals and players competing in leagues across Africa.

Peter Shalulile and Deon Hotto were among the prominent names included in Benjamin’s preliminary selection, while Riaan Hanamub provides leadership in defense.

The Brave Warriors will aim to make a positive start despite playing their designated home fixture in Botswana. After facing Congo, they will travel to meet Comoros on September 29.

How Congo arrive

Congo, also known as the Red Devils, begin a new chapter under experienced French coach Claude Le Roy, who has returned to lead the national team.

Le Roy named a 27-man squad for the opening qualifiers, bringing together players based domestically and abroad.

The match against Namibia will be his first competitive assignment since returning to the position. Congo will then host Cameroon in Brazzaville on September 29, giving the team two important tests in the opening international window.
