Cameroon earned a valuable 1-1 draw on the road against the Republic of the Congo and remains unbeaten in Group G of the AFCON 2027 Qualifiers.
The home side took the lead during the first half thanks to Geltany Bantisiele, who gave the fans in Brazzaville something to celebrate and forced the Indomitable Lions to chase the game.
Cameroon responded after the break. A dangerous ball sent into the box caught Congolese goalkeeper Melvin Zinga in a difficult position, and he was unable to properly deal with the cross, ultimately sending the ball into his own net for the 1-1 equalizer.
The draw allowed Cameroon to rescue a point away from home and extend its unbeaten start in Group G, while the Republic of the Congo missed the opportunity to secure an important victory in front of its home supporters.
