Mehrdad Khanzadeh Plans To Let His Fists Do The Talking At ONE Friday Fights 148
Mehrdad "Black Wolf" Khanzadeh does not need a long speech to explain where his head is at. The Iranian striker headlines ONE Friday Fights 148 on March 27 against former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongchai Chanaidonmueang, and everything he needs to say will happen inside the ring at Lumpinee Stadium – where a life-changing US$100,000 contract and a spot on ONE's global roster could be waiting for whoever wants it more.
A Fighter Firing On All Cylinders
Mehrdad Khanzadeh was already dangerous. But now, he is dangerous and confident – a combination that should worry anyone standing across the ring from him. The Sor Dechapan standout, who trains alongside forthcoming ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Aliff Sor Dechapan, has squeezed every drop out of his preparation, and it shows.
His last ONE outing – a gritty split-decision win over Kritpet PK Saenchai last September – proved he could absorb punishment, keep his composure, and find a way to win when the battle gets ugly. A victory outside the promotion since then has only added to that momentum.
"I'm very happy to be back here again and ready to go all out," Khanzadeh said. "My confidence mainly comes from my belief in my training. I train very hard and focus on every detail with my teammates. Training and sparring regularly with skilled fighters in the gym has put my body in great condition. That allowed me to absorb the strikes and stay composed enough to come back."

Respect For Kongchai, But No Fear
Kongchai Chanaidonmueang is no easy assignment, however. The former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion has been a fixture in the weekly series longer than anyone, and his two-bout winning streak has him rolling with a positive outlook heading into Friday. His southpaw left kick alone has been the undoing of plenty of opponents, and Khanzadeh knows it.
But the Iranian is not walking into this fight blind, and he is not intimidated in the least. He has studied his opponent, identified the threats, and mapped out exactly where his advantages lie.
"I believe I'm more well-rounded than him, especially in terms of my punches and kicks," Khanzadeh said. "As for Kongchai, I think his main strength is his powerful left kick."
Simple Message, Pure Focus
Khanzadeh is not a man who wastes words. He does not need to break down every scenario or talk through every contingency. Simply put, he keeps his cards close to his chest. The Iranian knows what he wants, he knows how to get it, and he knows that Friday night at Lumpinee Stadium is his moment to take it.
A win over one of the most experienced names in the series would put his contract ambitions front and center. For now, that is the only thing on his mind.
"I'm 100 percent confident," Khanzadeh said. "Thank you very much for the support, and I'll see you in the ring."
