Luka Dončić produced a spectacular performance for the Los Angeles Lakers, who defeated the Chicago Bulls 142-130 and confirmed their strong run in the NBA.
The Slovenian star recorded 51 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists, leading the Lakers to their sixth consecutive home victory and helping the team climb to third place in the Western Conference.
A performance reminiscent of Kobe Bryant
This was not the first time Doncic scored at least 50 points in a game, but it was his first 50-point performance with the Lakers.
His previous seven games with 50 or more points came before his arrival in Los Angeles. The most recent had occurred during the 2023-2024 season, when he achieved the feat twice.
Even so, Doncic still has a long way to go compared to Kobe Bryant, the Lakers legend who recorded more than 20 games with 50 points or more, including an impressive streak of four consecutive games above the 50-point mark.

Other key performers in the Lakers’ win
Alongside Doncic’s remarkable night, several Lakers players made important contributions.
Austin Reaves added 30 points, while Deandre Ayton recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds.
LeBron James finished with 18 points, and Rui Hachimura contributed 15 points.
For the Bulls, Josh Giddey stood out with 27 points and 15 assists, while Matas Buzelis added 22 points. Leonard Miller and Nick Richards each scored 15 points.
