Rasmus Hojlund had cancelled out Baturina's opener, but the Croatian then teed up Tasos Douvikas for what proved to be the winner before half-time.

Napoli had a few early chances without testing Jean Butez, and they were made to pay for their wastefulness 17 minutes in as Baturina controlled Assane Diao's cross and turned to slot his low shot into the net.

Noa Lang attempted to find a quick equaliser for Napoli, but despite having a free header at the far post, he planted his effort just over the crossbar.

The host did get level on the half-hour mark, though, after Hojlund danced away from challenges on the edge of the box before sending his pinpoint strike past Butez.

However, Como were back in front just four minutes later. Napoli got caught playing out from the back with Baturina's pressure causing Amir Rrahmani's pass in the box to loop to Douvikas, who was left with a simple finish.

Baturina then saw a header tipped over the bar by Alex Meret on the stroke of half-time, but both teams struggled to find their rhythm in the final third after the break.

Napoli, which sparked into life after Kevin De Bruyne's second-half introduction, saw Alisson Santos curl a good attempt just over the crossbar.

The host side thought it had found a leveller at the death, only to be denied by the offside flag.

Lorenzo Lucca held up the ball and managed to squeeze it through to Stanislav Lobotka, who placed his shot into the bottom-right corner, but the Italian had been offside in the build-up.
