Frances Tiafoe will face Taylor Fritz in an all-American final at the Halle Open, while the Queen's showpiece will see Tommy Paul take on Francisco Cerundolo. 

After Fritz extended his winning run against French Open champion Alexander Zverev to seven matches in Saturday's first Halle semi-final, Tiafoe joined him with a 6-1 6-3 triumph over German wildcard Daniel Altmaier. 

Tiafoe converted all four of the break points he generated in a clinical display, limiting Altmaier to just 55% of points won on his own serve.

"I thought it was really good today. It could have been a different match when I played a loose game at 3-2 in the second set, but I got a hold there and kept the momentum," Tiafoe said afterwards.

Tiafoe has only won one of his previous eight meetings with Fritz, with that victory coming in their first head-to-head match at Indian Wells in 2016.

Elsewhere, there is also an American finalist at Queen's after Tommy Paul – who won the event in 2024 but then was absent through injury last year – defeated Ugo Humbert 6-3 6-3 in his semi-final.

Paul's bid for a second title in London will see him face Argentina's Cerundolo, who thwarted the prospect of two all-American finals across the two events, beating Brandon Nakashima 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 6-4.

Tiafoe, Fritz and Paul fly the flag

Tiafoe and Fritz will face off in an ATP Tour-level final for the second time, after doing so in Tokyo four years ago (Fritz won in straight sets on that occasion).

They will play out the fourth all-American final on the Tour this season, after Fritz and Ben Shelton met in Dallas and Stuttgart, and Paul faced Sebastian Korda at Delray Beach.

Mardy Fish was the only previous player from the United States to reach the Halle Open showpiece, losing 6-3 6-0 to Roger Federer in 2004.

Meanwhile, Paul extended his winning run at Queen's Club to nine matches and became only the third man to reach 30 Tour-level wins in 2026, after Zverev (38) and Jannik Sinner (37).
