Emma Raducanu will do everything in her power to be able to compete at Wimbledon, after a shin issue placed her participation in doubt.

The 2021 US Open champion has struggled with various injuries ever since her breakout success at Flushing Meadows, and 2026 has been no different.

She only played six matches between early February and the start of Queen's, though her performance at that home event – where she reached the final but lost 6-0 7-6 (8-6) to Donna Vekic – offered encouragement ahead of the year's third grand slam.

Raducanu was then forced to withdraw from the Nottingham Open, though, and she admits playing five matches in quick succession at Queen's placed a lot of strain on her body.

However, after practicing at the All England Club on Sunday, she fully intends to take to No.1 Court to face Antonia Ruzic in her first-round match.

"I'm going to do everything with my team in terms of treatment," Raducanu said at her pre-tournament press conference. "The plan right now is to play.

"I've been managing it. Queen's, maybe, was too big a load for me. Five matches after having not competed for a while, it was just a lot.

"But I'm just managing it with my team as best as I possibly can, exhausting all options and doing what we can."

Raducanu could meet world number one Aryna Sabalenka if she progresses to the third round, which would also require her to get past Jelena Ostapenko or Harriet Dart.

She has reached the fourth round of Wimbledon on two occasions, in 2021 and 2024, while she was beaten by Sabalenka in round three last year.
