Morocco and South Africa face off this Saturday, August 8, in one of the most attractive quarter-final matches of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The match will kick off at 2:00 PM Central Mexico time and will be played at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.

The Moroccan team arrives with confidence after completing a nearly flawless group stage. Coached by Jorge Vilda, the team finished as the Group A leaders and achieved a remarkable milestone: they did not concede a single goal during the first round of the tournament.

Standing in their way will be South Africa, the reigning continental champions. Banyana Banyana advanced as runners-up in Group B after securing one win, one draw, and one defeat. The South African side relies heavily on one of their main attacking threats, Thembi Kgatlana, who will look to make a difference in this high-stakes knockout match.
