Bellingham Brothers on the Verge of Making England History
Thomas Tuchel has named Jude and Jobe Bellingham in the same senior England squad for the first time. The younger brother could join an exclusive list of siblings who have represented the Three Lions.
Jude Bellingham and Jobe Bellingham are on the verge of making history with England. Head coach Thomas Tuchel has included both brothers in his senior squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain, marking the first time they have been called up together at this level.
Jobe Bellingham, the 21-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder, has earned his first senior call-up after establishing himself in England's youth setup, where he previously captained the Under-21 team. He now has the opportunity to share the international stage with his older brother, Jude Bellingham, one of Real Madrid's biggest stars.
The call-up could lead to a historic milestone. If Jobe makes his senior debut, the Bellinghams will become the 22nd set of brothers to represent England's men's national team, joining a distinguished group of siblings who have worn the Three Lions shirt.
The Bellingham Brothers' Similar Paths
Jobe's career has followed a path remarkably similar to his older brother's. Both began at Birmingham City before eventually joining Borussia Dortmund, where Jude developed into one of European football's most exciting young talents before moving to Real Madrid.
Jobe took a different route through Sunderland, helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League before joining Dortmund in 2025. His development in Germany has now earned him a first opportunity under Tuchel with the senior national team.

The Brothers Who Made England History
The most recent siblings to achieve the distinction were Nathaniel and Trevoh Chalobah. Nathaniel made his England debut against Spain in 2018, while Trevoh earned his first senior cap against Senegal in June 2025, making them the 21st set of brothers to represent the Three Lions.
Before the Chalobahs, Gary and Phil Neville were the last brothers to earn England caps. Gary made his debut in 1995, with Phil following a year later, and the pair spent more than a decade representing their country.
England's history also includes Bobby and Jack Charlton, who helped the nation win the 1966 FIFA World Cup. Another remarkable case is the Bambridge family, the only one to have three brothers play for England: Ernest, Charlie, and Arthur.
Jobe Could Make His Debut Against Croatia or Spain
England will host Croatia at Wembley on Thursday, November 12, before traveling to face Spain at Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday, November 15. Both fixtures are part of the final round of UEFA Nations League group-stage matches.
The Three Lions currently sit second in their group and can secure a place in the quarterfinals by avoiding defeat against Croatia. While Tuchel looks to finish the group stage strongly, Jobe will be hoping to prove that he is ready for senior international football.
