Pablo Barrios Returns to the Atletico de Madrid Squad on the Eve of the Match Against Tottenham
The Spanish player who had been out of Cholo Simeone's game plan returns to the field for the match against Tottenham
Injury but returns
Pablo Barrios, midfielder of Atlético de Madrid, returned this Tuesday to the 24-player call-up by Diego Simeone, having overcome a muscle injury that kept him out for a month, for the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Tottenham, in a list that includes Julio Díaz and the only absence of Rodrigo Mendoza, due to injury.
The injuries of Atletico
Barrio has missed the last nine official matches of his team since his muscle injury in the quarter-final match of the Copa del Rey against Betis on February 5; he has been training with the group since last Sunday and is now available to Simeone for his return to competition.
On the other hand, Rodrigo Mendoza is out due to a moderate grade sprain in his right ankle, suffered last Saturday against Real Sociedad. It is the first of the four matches that the midfielder signed in the past winter market will presumably miss.

The list of the colchoneros makers for the match
The squad is composed of 24 players: goalkeepers Jan Oblak, Juan Musso, and Salvador Esquivel; defenders Nahuel Molina, Marc Pubill, Marcos Llorente, Robin Le Normand, José María Giménez, Clement Lenglet, David Hancko, Matteo Ruggeri, and Julio Díaz; midfielders Johnny Cardoso, Koke Resurrección, Álex Baena, Thiago Almada, Pablo Barrios, and Obed Vargas; wingers Giuliano Simeone and Nico González; and forwards Alexander Sorloth, Antoine Griezmann, Julián Alvarez, and Ademola Lookman.
