It was the Spanish team, boasting the best defense in the group stage, posing a significant challenge for Luis Enrique's side. The scoring was opened by their superstar, Kylian Mbappé.

The French attacker found the net around the 58th minute, bringing his tally to 19 goals in his last 15 matches. Later, Bradley Barcelona replicated the feat with a superb finish in the 70th minute.

The second leg of the round of 16 is scheduled to take place on March 5th.
