Reports: Osimhen To Stay at Galatasaray After Reaching Agreement With Napoli
Victor Osimhen is set to continue his career with Galatasaray. According to multiple sources in Italy and Turkey, including reports from Fabrizio Romano and Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Nigerian striker’s transfer from Napoli to the Turkish side is now fully agreed upon, with only administrative details left to finalize. The paperwork has already been signed by both parties, and the player is expected to land in Istanbul this Wednesday to undergo medical tests.
Galatasaray is expected to officially announce Osimhen’s signing this weekend, just before their match against Lazio, scheduled for Saturday, August 2. The club is also planning a special presentation ceremony for the fans, which may include Leroy Sané, another high-profile name linked to the team.
A big-money deal that marks the end of an era in Naples
After weeks of negotiations, Galatasaray agreed to meet the €75 million asking price set by the Italian club, although the payment will be made in installments. The first €40 million will be paid upfront, with the remaining €35 million to be settled by the end of 2026. Additionally, Napoli secured up to €5 million in bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause.
With this deal, Osimhen's chapter at Napoli comes to a close. Over five seasons with the southern Italian club, the forward scored 65 goals in 108 Serie A appearances and played a pivotal role in securing the historic league title in the 2022–23 season—the club’s first since the Diego Maradona era.

During the 2024–25 campaign, the Nigerian international played on loan for Galatasaray, where he delivered an outstanding performance: 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 official matches across the Süper Lig, domestic cups, and European competitions.
This move represents a major statement by the Turkish giants in the transfer market, as they aim to establish themselves as a continental powerhouse. With Osimhen returning and other top-tier signings expected, Galatasaray is setting its sights high for the upcoming season.
