James Rodríguez Nearing Move to a Süper Lig Giant
The Süper Lig could be preparing for another big signing, as there are strong rumors about the possibility of Colombian midfielder James Rodríguez joining Besiktas, the Turkish giant.
According to information from Globo Esporte, the Turkish club has reportedly approached the representative of the midfielder, who currently plays for São Paulo in the Brasileirao, in an attempt to finalize a potential transfer.
James hinted last December at the possibility of leaving the club he joined just six months ago, stating that "in football, anything can happen." However, São Paulo officials confirmed that his contract was valid until 2025, and they counted on him for the new season.
If he joins the Turkish side, James would return to play European football for the first time since August, after a stint with Olympiacos in Greece in 2023, following a brief adventure with Al Rayyan in Qatar. Additionally, the Colombian has an impressive resume, having played for giants like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
