Raúl Jiménez Responds to Accusations From Tudor, Who Calls Him a Cheat
Raúl Jiménez addressed the controversy surrounding Fulham’s opener against Tottenham, insisting his challenge was fair after accusations from the Spurs bench.
Fulham FC claimed a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur FC at Craven Cottage in a match marked by early controversy. Raúl Jiménez was involved in the build-up to the opening goal scored by Harry Wilson.
A cross to the far post found Jiménez battling with Radu Drăgușin, who fell to the ground appealing for a foul. Play continued, and Wilson fired home a left-footed volley. Tottenham’s bench protested immediately, suggesting Jiménez had pushed his marker.
After the match, the Mexican striker responded firmly: “I put my hands on his back, but it’s not really a push. It was just to gain elevation.” He also pointed out that Spurs had a similar goal ruled out the previous week.
VAR reviewed the incident and confirmed the goal stood. The victory lifts Fulham to 40 points as they continue pushing for European spots in the Premier League, while Tottenham’s struggles persist.
