The Mexican flag is getting closer to flying among the top six Latin American scorers in Premier League history. Raúl Jiménez’s two goals against Sunderland brought his league tally to 67, putting him just two goals away from Luis Suárez.

Jiménez starred at the Stadium of Light with a precise header and a successful penalty kick, outsmarting Dutch goalkeeper Robin Roefs and climbing the ranks in a list historically dominated by South American and Brazilian stars.

With these recent goals, Jiménez remains the seventh-highest Latin American scorer in Premier League history. His next target is Luis Suárez, who scored 69 goals during his time with Liverpool. The Uruguayan, now at Inter Miami, reached that mark in 110 games with the Reds.
