Arsenal Dream of Signing Vinícius Júnior
The future of Vinícius Júnior is once again one of the biggest storylines of the transfer window. Although the Brazilian's priority remains staying at Real Madrid, the lack of progress in his contract extension has already attracted the attention of several of Europe's elite clubs.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation and would be prepared to pursue the Brazilian star if negotiations between the player and Real Madrid fail to produce a new agreement.
For now, there have been no talks between the clubs, but in North London, Vinícius is already viewed as a long-term priority.
Contract Talks Remain at a Standstill
Vinícius Júnior's current contract with Real Madrid expires in 2027, but negotiations over an extension have yet to reach an agreement.
According to The Athletic, another meeting between the player's representatives and the club is expected, as both sides continue trying to bridge the financial gap that has slowed negotiations. At this stage, neither side appears willing to change its position.
Even so, the Brazilian's intentions remain clear.
Vinícius has no plans to leave Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window and still hopes to reach an agreement that will allow him to remain at the club for many years.
From the club's perspective, there is also no desire to lose one of its biggest stars.
Arsenal Are Waiting for Their Opportunity
While negotiations remain unresolved, Arsenal continue to watch developments closely.
The report states that the possibility of signing Vinícius has the full support of the club's sporting structure, including manager Mikel Arteta.
The Brazilian's profile is considered a perfect fit for Arteta's style of play. His pace, ability to beat defenders one-on-one, and effectiveness in attacking open spaces would make him an ideal addition to strengthen the Gunners' attack.
However, The Athletic also reports that there have been no formal discussions between Arsenal and Real Madrid regarding a potential transfer.

Real Madrid Want to Avoid Entering 2027 Without a New Deal
Inside Real Madrid, there is confidence but also an understanding that the situation cannot remain unresolved indefinitely.
While the club's official stance is to continue negotiating with Vinícius, the report adds that some within the organization believe that if the Brazilian does not sign a new contract this summer, the club should consider listening to offers rather than risk entering the final year of his deal.
That view, however, is not currently the official position of the club's leadership.
The priority remains reaching an agreement and keeping the Brazilian as one of the cornerstones of José Mourinho's project, alongside stars such as Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Vinícius.
For now, the winger's future remains at the Santiago Bernabéu.
But as long as a new contract remains unsigned, clubs such as Arsenal will continue waiting for an opportunity to attempt what would be one of the biggest transfers in recent years.
