Inter Miami Yard Sale
With the start of the new MLS season, Inter Miami is working against the clock to try to register their new signings to compete in the local tournament. They're even working on potential new signings like Federico Redondo, who could come from Argentinos Jr to fulfill his dream of playing alongside Lionel Messi.
The garage sale is because the MLS has a maximum salary cap of five million dollars for non-designated players. Therefore, the Herons would have to let go of around seven players to meet the requirements demanded by the league, which must be met no later than February 20, 2024.
Notable players like former captain Deandre Yedlin, Robert Taylor, Krystov, and Mota would be part of the group of players leaving Fort Lauderdale, sources tell "The Athletic".
Meanwhile, players secured by the club led by Gerardo Martino include Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Gregore. The maneuver is in the hands of English star David Beckham in an Inter Miami that is currently in the red.
