PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken staying cool to a whole new level.
In order to prepare for a crunch few months for his club, the former Milan man has moved into a Paris ice hotel until the end of the season.
The Swedish striker has temporarily moved out of his Rive Gauche apartment to take residence in the $2,000 a night ‘Paris Ice Paradise’ a boutique hotel where guests can have the Arctic experience without having to travel to the north of Finland to participate.
However, the motivation is pure pain rather than pleasure for the Ligue Un ace, who says that the constant below zero temperatures and ice block mattresses will help him “stay sharp, stay cool and stay Zlatan.”
Sports injury expert, Justin Jest, says that the freezing temperatures will also help the footballer get over any muscle injuries and strains over the next weeks in a busy calendar for PSG in both France and the Champions League. “It will be like Zlatan being sat in an ice bath for three months, and that can only be good,” said Jest.
PSG fans will have the first opportunity to see if this new mental and physical approach bears fruit for Zlatan at Sunday’s Le Classique clash with Marseille.
