In a battle for UEFA Champions League spots in Ligue 1, Lens, known for their strong home performance, faced off against Nice. Nice came out on top with a 3-1 win after a string of poor results, having not won since January 27.
The first half was dominated by Nice at Bollaert-Delelis, taking a 1-0 lead with Terem Moffi's goal, which he confidently buried.
The second half saw Nice taking control, scoring two more goals in 15 minutes to extend their lead to 3-0. Lens managed to pull one back with Wahi's goal, making it 3-1, but it wasn't enough as Nice secured all three points.
With this result, Lens dropped to sixth in the standings with 42 points, still in European positions but drifting away from the Champions League. Meanwhile, Nice ended their slump, climbing to fourth place and threatening the third and second spots, trailing them by just three points.
