No Bale out for Real Madrid after fun and banter ahead of Wednesday's El Clasico clash
All is smiles and laughter in the Real Madrid camp! No sign of any kind of player payback for Gareth Bale.
That was the glowing report from the club's final training session before Wednesday's Copa del Rey El Clasico game.
The main focus of attention was the general gait and well-being of Gareth Bale. Normally, narrative is seeing whether the big grump monster is fit enough to train. But on Tuesday, it was to see if he had been put into Real Madrid Camp Exile after general meanness to Lucas Vazquez in a goal celebration on Sunday.
But all seemed well with much apparent chirpiness and banter. "He was in a great mood," confirmed Sports Burst's insider at training, Gabrielle Amado, who even used the word "playful."
But that doesn't mean Bale will be back in the starting eleven for tomorrow. Or Marcelo. Or Keylor Navas. Or Marco Asensio.
Find out even more ahead of Wednesday's El Clasico with a special edition of Sports Burst live which comes directly from Madrid at 12PM ET / 9AM PT.
Brendan Rogers set to leave exile to lead Leicester City
The last time Leicester City was this much in the news for footballing reasons was when the club won a 5000-1 shot Premier League title.
Since that miraculous moment, the club has gone on to struggle to come close to repeating that feat - although reaching the Champions League quarter-finals the following season was admittedly admirable. Which is not that surprising really considering the dimension-shattering achievement.
Brendan Rogers is set to be the EPL club's third manager since winning the title in 2016 after Claude Puel was fired at the weekend. And that's quite surprising considering the former Liverpool boss already has a job, as Celtic boss. However, Celtic has given permission today for talks to take place, with the club eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The Foxes are in action on Tuesday against Brighton in one of four EPL matches.
