Real Madrid and Lyon Close to Finalizing the “Endrick Operation”
The loan of Endrick to Olympique Lyon is practically complete. According to Canal Plus Foot, Real Madrid and the French club have agreed on all the details, with only the signatures pending to activate an operation crafted with surgical precision to benefit both sides.
The agreement includes a six-month loan for which Lyon will pay 800,000 euros, a manageable investment that will allow them to immediately add a globally promising striker to take on a leading role in attack.
One of the most particular elements of the deal is the recall clause. Madrid has protected the operation with an option allowing them to bring the forward back if one of their strikers suffers an injury. However, this is the only point still being negotiated: the deadline. Real Madrid wants the clause to remain valid until January 31, while Lyon only accepts extending it until the 15th.
Additionally, both clubs will share the player’s salary during the loan, a gesture that underscores that both Madrid and Lyon view this move as a strategic step for the forward’s development.
Xabi Alonso Keeps the Rhythm in Valdebebas Despite the Break
While Endrick’s immediate future is being finalized, Real Madrid continue training at Valdebebas under Xabi Alonso, who chose not to grant rest to the players who did not travel with their national teams. After two negative results —against Liverpool and Rayo Vallecano— the manager prioritized maintaining intensity during a week with a reduced group.

Monday’s training session included Andriy Lunin, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fran García, Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos and Endrick himself, along with several academy players. The session brought good news: Antonio Rüdiger is progressing well in the final phase of his recovery and is already doing individual work on the pitch.
Meanwhile, scans on Fede Valverde and Thibaut Courtois confirmed minor muscle issues that have ruled them out of international duty. They join an injury list that already included Dani Carvajal, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Franco Mastantuono.
Intense Work as LaLiga’s Return Approaches
The group trained with a mix of gym work and on-field exercises, including rondos, high pressing and finishing drills. Although Madrid do not have a match until November 23 against Elche, Xabi has scheduled continuous sessions to maintain competitive sharpness. On Tuesday at 11 a.m., the team will train again with the goal of regaining rhythm and, perhaps, preparing to bid Endrick a temporary farewell as he heads to Lyon.
The near-finalized deal confirms two things: Madrid want their jewel to earn immediate minutes, and Lyon see a unique opportunity to strengthen their attack. A strategic loan that could mark the beginning of Endrick’s European rise.
