Lewandowski Advised To Leave Barça for Juventus
A Polish football legend has advised Lewandowski to join Juventus if he wants to keep competing at the highest level in Europe.
The future of Robert Lewandowski remains uncertain. At 37 years old, the striker has yet to decide whether he will stay at FC Barcelona next season, with several clubs already showing interest in securing his services.
The Polish forward will have the entire summer to make a decision, especially with no World Cup this year, giving him time to carefully consider whether to remain in Catalonia or seek a new challenge—either in a more exotic destination or in one of Europe’s top leagues.
In recent weeks, his name has been strongly linked with Serie A. Reports from Italy suggest that Juventus have made him their top target for next season, which would represent a major challenge in the final stage of his career.
Amid these rumors, several notable figures have shared their opinions on the striker’s future. One of them is Zbigniew Boniek, a Polish legend who played for Juventus between 1982 and 1985.
“It depends on what he has in mind. If Robert wants to retire calmly, I would tell him to step away from football. But if he wants to fight for wins every Sunday for two more years, Juventus would be a great challenge and the perfect place,” Boniek said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The former player also recalled his long-standing relationship with Lewandowski: “I’ve known him since he was a young boy playing in Poland’s second division. He was already scoring a lot of goals back then. I used to joke with him and say he scored so many because he had never played in Italy. To be a true goal scorer, you also have to prove yourself in Serie A.”
Despite his age, Boniek highlighted the striker’s excellent physical condition: “He is in very good shape. He’s an exemplary professional and has not suffered any serious injuries. I’m convinced he can still play two great seasons. It’s a matter of mentality and motivation. Physically, he looks like a human machine.”
With the transfer window approaching, Robert Lewandowski’s future is shaping up to be one of the most closely followed stories of the summer.
