Good News for Flick: Barcelona Registers Four New Signings Before Elche Clash
Barcelona received clearance to register Rodri, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and João Cancelo, making all four eligible to face Elche. Bessié, however, will have to wait while administrative procedures are completed.
The players cleared to play are Rodri, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and João Cancelo. All four are now officially eligible to feature if Flick decides they are ready to take part.
The registration process was completed over the last several hours. Rodri was the first player to receive clearance from LaLiga, despite continuing with an individual training program. Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon were then added to the official records before João Cancelo became the final player to receive authorization on Saturday morning.
Their availability gives Flick additional options across several areas of the pitch. However, registration does not automatically mean that all four players will receive minutes against Elche. The coaching staff must still assess their physical condition, adaptation and competitive rhythm.
Rodri remains the biggest question mark. The midfielder has continued training separately for a second consecutive day, meaning his availability could depend on the final assessment of the coaching and medical staff.
The situation is different for Bessié, who will not be available for the upcoming match. The player is expected to have a registration with Barcelona Atlètic, but some administrative procedures are still pending before he can officially be cleared to play.
For now, Bessié continues training with the reserve side while waiting for the remaining paperwork to be completed.
With four new signings now available, Flick enters the Elche match with considerably more depth and flexibility. The next question is how many of those new arrivals will actually make their official Barcelona debut on Sunday.
