Kylian Mbappé breaks his silence on his knee injury and confirms he is 100% ready for France’s friendlies against Brazil and Colombia.
Kylian Mbappé ends rumors about his knee
French striker Kylian Mbappé, 27, decided to break his silence regarding the constant rumors about his fitness. During an event celebrating the tenth anniversary of insurance company Alan, where he also serves as ambassador and investor, the forward made it clear that his knee is 100% and that many of the claims about his injury were false.
“The knee is fine. It’s getting better. False things have been said. It’s the life of a high-level athlete, and we are used to people saying things without checking,” Mbappé said, according to statements collected during the event. The Frenchman emphasized that his recovery has followed a specific medical plan and that his goal is to enter the 2026 World Cup in peak condition.
Full recovery and medical plan
Mbappé explained that his recovery process began after identifying the exact source of discomfort in his knee, following several exams with specialists in Paris. Thanks to this, he was able to design a gradual return-to-top-performance plan, balancing his recovery with the physical preparation required by Real Madrid.
The forward admitted that during these weeks he felt frustration and concern, but he was never at risk of missing the World Cup or the final stretch of the season with his club. “It’s all behind me now; all the pain is gone,” he emphasized, making it clear that he is ready to play in the friendlies against Brazil and Colombia.
Preparation for France’s friendlies
French coach Didier Deschamps confirmed Mbappé’s call-up for friendlies in the United States: against Brazil on March 26 in Massachusetts and against Colombia three days later in Maryland. According to Deschamps, the striker’s presence is not just for marketing, but with the intention of gaining game minutes and preparing for the World Cup.
Mbappé, aware of the significance of these matches, said that facing Brazil, one of the most successful football nations in history, is an exciting and necessary challenge as preparation for the World Cup.

Beyond the field: Mbappé as an entrepreneur
Off the pitch, Kylian Mbappé continues expanding his presence in the business world. Through his fund Coalition Capital, he has invested in multiple sectors, including his recent stake in Alan, as well as other companies and projects. This reflects his vision beyond football, solidifying his role as one of the most influential and high-profile figures in the sport.
With his knee at 100% and his business agenda growing, Mbappé is ready to lead France into the 2026 World Cup with confidence in his best physical and mental form, finally putting the rumors about his fitness to rest.
