Kylian Mbappé Can Finally Drive: The Real Madrid Forward Finally Gets His License at 27
Kylian Mbappé adds a new skill to his life off the pitch. At 27, the Real Madrid star finally obtained his driver’s license and has already been spotted driving his $163,000 BMW i7.
Mbappé adds a new skill off the pitch
While recovering from an injury that still leaves his return to the field uncertain, Kylian Mbappé has found a reason to celebrate away from football. The forward of Real Madrid has finally achieved something that for most people is a simple milestone: getting his driver’s license.
At 27 years old, the French superstar passed the process and was recently spotted driving his own car for the first time after leaving the club’s training complex in Valdebebas. According to reports from Spanish media outlets, the forward decided to use part of his recovery time to accomplish a personal goal that had long been postponed due to his rapid rise in football.
For years, Mbappé usually arrived at training accompanied by a chauffeur. The player himself previously explained that his professional career forced him to skip some ordinary life experiences, including learning how to drive.
The $163,000 BMW he used for his driving debut
What makes the story even more striking is not only that Mbappé finally obtained his license, but the car he chose to begin his new life as a driver.
The French star was seen driving a BMW i7, a luxury electric sedan valued at more than $163,000, which is part of the partnership between the Spanish giants and the German car manufacturer. The model is one of the brand’s most prestigious vehicles, measuring 5.4 meters in length, weighing nearly 2,700 kilograms, and producing 544 horsepower.
For most new drivers, starting with a small and manageable car is the norm. Mbappé, however, seems ready for a bigger challenge: his first vehicle as a driver is essentially a luxury electric limousine.
The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under five seconds, proving that even off the pitch the French star is surrounded by speed.
A fast-track process in a driving school in Alcorcón
The process of getting his license wasn’t random. According to information revealed by local outlets such as Alcorconhoy, Mbappé took driving lessons at a well-known driving school in Alcorcón, just outside Madrid.
The striker reportedly passed the theory test months ago and then completed several practical lessons before finally obtaining his license. Interestingly, he did not choose one of the accelerated driving programs often used by celebrities, opting instead for a more traditional path.
Seeing one of the biggest football superstars in the world practicing parking or basic driving maneuvers turned out to be both surprising and amusing for many.

A multi-million car collection he can finally drive
The story becomes even more intriguing when considering one key detail: Mbappé already owned an impressive car collection before getting his license.
Among the vehicles associated with the forward are models from brands like Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes and Cadillac. Altogether, his collection is estimated to be worth more than $2.3 million, according to various automotive reports.
For years, many of those cars were mostly used by drivers or for organized transportation. But that reality is about to change: Mbappé can now personally take the wheel of his luxury garage.
As the French forward continues his recovery from injury and Real Madrid navigates a complicated moment in the season, this personal milestone offers a different perspective on the global superstar: even one of the biggest football icons in the world still has everyday life goals to check off.
