How long is Kylian Mbappé expected to be sidelined?
Mbappé remains sidelined with a knee injury and misses the Getafe clash. Arbeloa faces three additional absences but welcomes back Rodrygo and Huijsen.
Real Madrid will face the match against Getafe CF with significant absences. The most notable is Kylian Mbappé, who remains sidelined due to discomfort in his left knee and was not included in the squad list. According to some sources, he will be out of action for two to three weeks after it was confirmed that he is suffering from a knee sprain. The French forward sustained the injury in recent days, and following medical tests conducted by the club's staff, it was determined that he must rest and undergo specific treatment to aid his recovery
The French forward felt pain again during training ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash against SL Benfica and will undergo further treatment this week. His potential availability for a possible tie against Manchester City FC remains uncertain. In 2026 alone, he has already missed matches against Atlético de Madrid, Real Betis, Real Sociedad, and Benfica.
Head coach Álvaro Arbeloa will also be without Eduardo Camavinga, who is dealing with a dental issue, as well as Jude Bellingham and Éder Militão, both still recovering from their respective injuries. The club expects Bellingham and Militão to return in early April.
On the positive side, Dean Huijsen and Rodrygo are back in the squad after fully recovering from muscle injuries. Several academy players complete the roster as Madrid look to maintain momentum despite the setbacks.
