Seventh Reinforcement for Los Rojiblancos
Atlético de Madrid finalized the signing of Italian attacking midfielder Giacomo Raspadori on Monday, after reaching an agreement last Friday with Napoli and completing the medical tests. The player signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2030.
The 25-year-old arrives for a fixed fee of €22 million plus €4 million in add-ons, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. He becomes the seventh signing for the club this transfer window, joining Marc Pubill (Almería), Matteo Ruggeri (Atalanta), David Hancko (Feyenoord), Johnny Cardoso (Betis), Álex Baena (Villarreal) and Thiago Almada (Botafogo). In total, the club has spent €175 million on reinforcements.
On the other hand, eight players have departed from last season’s squad, including Rodrigo De Paul (Inter Miami), Thomas Lemar (Girona), Rodrigo Riquelme (Betis), Samuel Lino (Flamengo) and Ángel Correa (Tigres).
