Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham: Thankful Winner of Golden Boy Award
On Monday in Turin, English midfielder Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid was awarded the 'Golden Boy' for the top under-21 talent of the year in a ceremony organized by the newspaper 'Tuttosport.'
Born on June 29, 2003, Bellingham inherited the award that Spanish player Pablo Páez Gavira 'Gavi' claimed last year. He accepted the prize at a ceremony attended by a Real Madrid delegation led by Emilio Butragueño, the club's Director of Institutional Relations, and his mother.
For the first time in history, a Real Madrid player received this prestigious award. Moreover, also for the first time, Bellingham received the 'Golden Boy' from the public, leaving Turin with two trophies.
