Confirmed: Mbappé's Jersey Number at Real Madrid
The white club announced changes in several squad numbers, including the number that will adorn the back of the great signing for the entity.
On the same day that Real Madrid announced the date and time for Kylian Mbappé's presentation, the club also revealed the jersey number that the French star will wear at his new team.
Specifically, Mbappé will wear the number 9 on his back, confirming all the rumors that pointed to this number being reserved for the Frenchman.
This number was vacated by Karim Benzema last season after his move to Saudi Arabia, and since then, it had been waiting for a new owner.
New Jersey Numbers
Just as Mbappé will debut with the number 9 on his back, other Real Madrid players are also changing their jersey numbers.
This includes Camavinga, who switches from wearing the number 12 to the number 6. Also, Fede Valverde inherits the number 8 from the recently retired Toni Kroos.
Tchouaméni exchanges the number 18 for the number 14, and Arda Güler, who wore the number 24 in his first season at Real Madrid, will now wear the number 15 that was freed up by Valverde. Similarly, Vallejo will take the number 18 that Tchouaméni vacated.
