Argentina and the Netherlands: A Difficult Record

Behind Germany are Argentina and the Netherlands, both with three lost finals.

La Albiceleste was defeated in the finals of 1930 against Uruguay, 1990 against West Germany, and 2014 against Germany. However, they made up for those disappointments with World Cup titles in 1978, 1986, and 2022.
