Defined Matchups! This is How the Phase 3 of The Libertadores Will be Played
The CONMEBOL Libertadores Phase 3 has its eight defined teams. In the next two weeks, the four teams advancing to the 2024 Group Stage will be determined.
Brazilian Clash
One of the head-to-head matchups features two Brazilian teams in the qualifying phase: Red Bull Bragantino and Botafogo. The first leg will be held in Rio de Janeiro, with Bragantino, CONMEBOL Sudamericana finalist, hosting the decisive match for a spot in the Group Stage.
Nacional vs Always Ready
The Bolso, three-time CONMEBOL Libertadores champion, will face Always Ready, who eliminated a historic team like Sporting Cristal. The first leg will take place in Bolivia, where Always Ready secured a 6-1 victory over the Peruvian side. The return leg will be at the Gran Parque Central, home of Nacional de Montevideo.
Chileans vs Paraguayans
The other two matchups involve teams from Paraguay and Chile: Nacional vs. Palestino and Colo-Colo vs. Sportivo Trinidense.
Colo-Colo, the CONMEBOL Libertadores 1991 champion, defeated Godoy Cruz and will decide the series against Trinidense at home.
Meanwhile, Palestino will face Nacional, who eliminated Atlético Nacional from Colombia. The first leg will be held in Asunción, with the return leg in Chile.
