Bayern Munich are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, according to Diario Sport.

The Bavarians are prepared to rival Inter Milan for the Croatian's services, with Barca reportedly willing to listen to offers in excess of €50m ($57m, £44m).

Despite being the early frontrunners, Barca are not certain that Inter will have the funds to finance a bid for Rakitic, which opens the door for a Bayern swoop this summer.
